When I tell you there’s no other wedding venue in Michigan quite as breathtaking as Planterra Conservatory, I mean it. This stunning glass-enclosed botanical space in West Bloomfield, MI is the dreamiest backdrop for a romantic, nature-filled wedding—and Ally and Alex’s big day brought it to life in the most beautiful way.

A Classic and Chic Bridal Look at Planterra Conservatory

Ally looked absolutely radiant. Her sleek bun perfectly highlighted the low back of her wedding dress, which featured the cutest bow detail that added just the right touch of whimsy to her classic bridal style. Her glam squad and bridesmaids were by her side every step of the way, making sure every detail was perfect—and it was.

Groom Prep Moments Filled with Laughter and Love

The guys kept things light with plenty of belly laughs and cheers for the groom-to-be. One of the most touching moments? When Alex’s dad helped him into his jacket—it was quiet, simple, and full of love. These are the kinds of moments that make a wedding day unforgettable.

Emotional First Looks That Brought Everyone to Tears

Ally chose to do two first looks—one with Alex, and another with her father and brother. Her first look with Alex was absolutely magical. The way he looked at her? Tearful, in awe, and so full of love—it’s exactly how every bride deserves to be seen.

And then came the second first look. When Ally’s dad and brother saw her in her dress for the first time, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room—including mine. (Fun fact: I cry at 90% of weddings. I can’t help it—I love love.) Their emotional reaction was powerful and pure, and it reminded everyone just how meaningful this day truly was.

From start to finish, Ally and Alex’s wedding was filled with intentional, meaningful touches—many of which honored Ally’s late mother. From beautiful crossword puzzles for guests, to personalized table decor, and mouthwatering desserts (including the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had), no detail was overlooked.

They even included champagne service during the ceremony, which gave the celebration such an elegant and festive touch.

Candlelight, Cozy Vibes, and Unforgettable Speeches

The evening transitioned into a candlelit dinner that felt intimate, cozy, and full of warmth. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Ally and Alex listened to speeches that brought waves of laughter and tears.

One of the most emotional moments of the night came when Ally’s father spoke about her mother. His words were heartfelt and raw, and I don’t think there was a single person who wasn’t wiping away tears—including me.
